THE head of the House of Commons Transport Select Committee has joined trades union representatives in warning Aberdeen-based transport company FirstGroup that it needs to act on a growing "anti- union" reputation in the US, or risk tarnishing its image with UK and European investors.
Gwyneth Dunwoody MP and the Transport and General Workers' Union claim FirstGroup's reputation among EU institutional investors could be damaged by a failure to resolve a mounting dispute between FirstStudent, its North American division which operates yellow school buses, and several US unions including Washington-based Teamsters.See the full content of this document
