Summary
MY wife Sam and I spent New Year with her sister, Justine, and her children, Charlie, five, and Joy, nine. We don't see as much of what I think of as my "English" nephew and niece as we do my brothers' children. To them, I have always been Uncle Ribbet because Charlie couldn't say "Stuart".
Nephew Frazer in Scotland has just managed my name - apparently I'm Auntie Dort to him. The differences run deeper than that, and they're also nothing to do with the fact they live in Lincolnshire and my side of the family lives in the Borders.
