IF YOU WANNA BE HAPPY FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE The Skatalites I am a massive fan of old ska and 2 Tone, and for me it doesn't get much better than this track. The carefree lyrics mixes with the upbeat melody, catchy hooks and the live feel of the recording. I would often finish my DJ sets with this track. Whether it's been house or indie, this tune always gets everyone in the mood.
GIRLS & BOYS Blur Damon Albarn has always been a huge influence to me in terms of songwriting, but this was the first song that really got me into Blur. That lairy indie vocal delivery combined with that mainstream electro pop underlaying Graham Coxon's dirty sweeping guitar gives the entire song a very distinguished sound. I can remember watching the video on Top Of The Pops thinking: "I want to be in a band just like that."See the full content of this document
