Summary

A MAN in a suit is reading the paper as he arrives at his work riding a bike backwards. At the same time a woman pulls up in the car park and shunts two earlier arrivals out of the way. They meet in the lift along with their other colleagues, one of whom is dressed as a giant ham. When the lift doors open, they emerge in futuristic silver outfits and take their places at the control deck. No, it's not a repeat of Star Trek. It's the new series of Green Wing, and this is all a dream - well, some of it at least.

We pick up the surreal hospital comedy drama with Mac (Julian Rhind-Tutt) lying in a coma after the Botox-induced cliff-hanger at the end of series one. He's slipping in and out of a fantasy world as Caroline (Tamsin Greig) holds a vigil by his bedside. But she's not the only one holding the lion-maned doctor's hand - and other extremities - in an attempt to bring him back to the present. The utterly bonkers Sue (Michelle Gomez) brings a new meaning to bedside manner with plans for him that involve a turkey-baster.
