FINANCE secretary John Swinney is demanding action from the Treasury to address the lack of competition in the banking market, which he claims is making it difficult for smaller businesses to get funding.
Swinney has written to Alistair Darling spelling out his concerns. This comes just days after a Scottish Government survey revealed that lending to smaller Scottish businesses has been slashed during the recession.See the full content of this document
