WILMA Miller's concerns about her children's daily diet are familiar to thousands of parents across Scotland. While the school her son attends offers healthy tuna baguettes, along with the standard chips, on its menu, she prefers to make a packed lunch.

"I think I could persuade him not to eat the wrong thing if he had school meals, but there isn't always the right type of food on offer," she says of the menu at Dumfries High.
