ABSOLUTE proof exists that the Almighty was not into racing. If He or She had been, the world would have been made Flat, and jumpers would be solely a description for woolly sweaters.

After watching yet another selection bite the turf as the result of a fall last week, I reflected on the wisdom of Confucius or whoever it was who said that he preferred racing on the Flat because he had a hard enough time picking winners without someone putting obstacles in their way.
