Scot Named As Third Victim in Afghan Push

A SCOTTISH soldier killed during a major assault on the Taleban was yesterday described as an "inspiring" leader on the battlefield.

Lance Sergeant David Walker, 36, of the 1st Battalion Scots Guards, was named yesterday after being fatally shot on Thursday during the Moshtarak offensive in southern Afghanistan. The Glaswegian was praised as being "as tough as old boots" by his commander and "a terrific husband and father" by his family.
