Alex McLeish has insisted that, despite Rangers' economic restraints, as well as his desire to make a competition of the league championship, he has neither the need nor the inclination to offload those of his players who have underachieved this season.
The Rangers manager maintains that while Gavin Rae may be only the first of his signings during this month's transfer window, it is no good reason for an exodus. He does not have to sell before he can buy, unless the purchase is expensive.
