Summary
IT'S nine in the morning and the earliest interview I've ever conducted is about to begin. Then again, maybe it isn't. The subjects are pop stars, a breed who notoriously don't do 9am. Also, they're French, so there's a good chance they'll be stubborn, contrary, possibly even wilfully perverse - the kind of pop stars, indeed, who shun the obvious, such as following a two-million selling album with one that sounds vaguely similar.
But here they are, Jean-Benoit Dunckel and Nicolas Godin, better know as the downtempo duo Air, creators of Moon Safari, the soundtrack to our lives. Forget The Office's David Brent - these guys are the original chilled-out entertainers. And not only punctual, they're polite, chatty, and - check the time - incredibly cerebral.
