The 24-year-old visibly squirms at the thought of more publicity but continues to produce the kind of class which captivates fans and forces the capitulation of even the very best opponents. "It's unfair on the rest of the players when I get all the headlines," he argued, "and people keep saying to me, was I the only one playing in France? I know someone has got to be the hero but I'd rather it wasn't me. If it takes the pressure off the rest of the players and that's a good thing then fine, but we had 14 heroes on the pitch today and hopefully we will have a few more on Wednesday.
