Summary
T WAS through wine that I first discovered the sensual pleasures of Scotch whisky. As a young wine merchant, fresh out of Edinburgh University where I had run the wine society for three years, I knew my Pouilly-Fuisse from my Pouilly-Fume and felt at ease espousing the merits of the Cte de Nuits.
