Gamekeepers Take the Lead On Dog Law

Summary


DOG owners could be forced to keep their pets on leads when they walk through large swathes of rural Scotland in spring and summer. Gamekeepers are seeking a change in the law to make it compulsory for dogs to be restrained on farmland, in woods, by the sea, rivers or lochs.

The drastic move comes after a dramatic increase in the number of dogs savaging wildlife, according to the Scottish Gamekeepers' Association.
