A US-BASED IT tycoon has emerged as the most likely buyer of Packard Bell, the home computer company which has been put up for sale by its Japanese owner NEC.
Last year, Scotland on Sunday reported that NEC, the Japanese electronics group, had put the division up for sale. It includes a factory in Livingston, West Lothian, which employs more than 100 staff making home computers for the European market which are sold through the Dixons, Currys and PC World chains.See the full content of this document
