CLIVE Woodward is a hard man to forget - but he's worth the effort. Chris Cusiter, for one, should have little problem banishing the Lions coach from his thoughts forever more. Cusiter showed a reassuring restraint when the news of Woodward's selection for the third Lions Test was broken to him during the week.

He could have railed against his coach, he could have mowed him down in print in his column in The Scotsman and there wouldn't have been a single cross word said against him. At least not by any right thinking rugby folk. Clive Woodward and some of his managerial minions in New Zealand might have felt let down but most of us are now far beyond the point of caring about the fragile sensitivities of Calamity Clive.
