IT IS a Spartans badge on the tracksuit rather than a Hibs one but it's not just the outfit that is different, the persona has been tweaked slightly too. This is Ian Murray the coach, not Ian Murray the player. As he lays out cones and explains training drills, offering pointers as the session goes along, it's a glimpse into the future.

Helping put the Spartans Juniors through their paces, the Hibs vice-captain is not ready to wave goodbye to his playing days but he is preparing for the day when he has to and, apparently, he's not the only one. New captain Chris Hogg has already attained his B licence and has talked of the benefits of being forced to view the game from a different perspective. He believes it helps him as a player, as well as offering him something to fall back on when his playing career comes to an end.
