Summary
WHEN my parents come to visit, there are three essentials I always stock up on: tea, chocolate biscuits and spare jumpers. In this eco-friendly ice-box I call home, the heating is switched on for an hour in the morning and an hour in the evening - and that's it. Stingy? You'd better believe it. I am wearing fingerless gloves, hat and scarf as I type.
My parents keep their home pleasantly warm, and so when visiting the ice hotel clad only in short-sleeved attire, they inevitably end up requesting an extra layer.
