Summary
TOSCAFUND, the hedge fund chaired by former Royal Bank of Scotland chairman Sir George Mathewson, has emerged as one of the first funds in the industry to recover. Shareholders got a 35 per cent return in the first half of 2009 after a near disastrous 67 per cent collapse in 2008.
According to the Credit Suisse/Tremont index of hedge funds, the average fund returned 9.69 per cent in the first seven months of the year.See the full content of this document
